Welcome to our PALMS PBwiki!          

 

 

This is a real PBwiki page that you can edit.  It was started to continue the great colloboration of our organization..  You can visit & view the "how to videos and information by visiting the WEB 2 OH page.   Then we can discuss this as a possibility??  Because of the training we did this summer, (2008).. this wiki is now at a Gold status for one year.   **** 6/2011----no longer gold status.. I would suggest upgrading this wiki if it is going to be used!   flo

The mission of
PINELLAS ASSOCIATION OF LIBRARY INFORMATION SPECIALISTS
is to support school library information specialists through advocating leadership and professionalism facilitating collaboration and promoting information literacy.

 

Belief statement

Every school should have …

•    An adequately funded Library Media Program.

•    A highly qualified Library Information Specialist certified in Educational Media.

•    A dedicated media center that is warm and inviting.

•    An engaging library media program focused on inquiry-based learning and ethical behavior.

•    Flexible and equitable access to a diverse collection in a variety of formats which meet the curricular, recreational and specialized needs of the school including digital networks, cooperative agreements and interlibrary loans.
